News - Border Raids
Just recently there has been some brilliant news for our riders and drivers who participate down in South Africa.
Firstly our major sponsor, Ellies Botswana, under the guise of Gary Gillingham and Peter Van Vuuren took part in the Limpopo 400. This was also part of the FIA Cross Country World Championship event. According to Gary the international competitors appeared to be of Russian origin (and by the sound of it, so were the cars). Anyway, HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Gary and Peter. They won the S class therefore putting Gary into fourth place for the Drivers Championships and Peter tied into third place with Richard Carolin for the Navigators championships. It must also be noted that only 2 S class vehicles managed to finish this event.
Also well done to Thierry Hecq and Guido De Marre who competed in the Nampo 200 regional event. They brought the car home to finish fourth (I could be wrong), which is great news for this pairing
Eric Visser has been quietly participating all over the place, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia, and South Africa. Unfortunately in the recent Nampo 200, Eric ended up flying off his bike at high speed whilst lying 6th. He started 24th so must have been motoring at the time. However, Eric is starting to make inroads in all the championship events that he has participated in, and we are hoping for a few podium spots for him.
Good luck to you all with your campaigns in motorsport.
